The Under 11's played at home today for their 3rd tournament of the season. Their first game was against a very strong Brecon side. Even though they came away with a 3-0 loss they should be extremely proud of themselves. They worked together and didn't give up. At the sidelines it was noted that they played their positions and were aware of their team mates positions also which is just as important. They went on to play Penarth B which showed the same high level of skill and talent which reflected in a 0-0 draw. They then faced Abergavenny with only a team of 5 very talented players. We loaned some of our players so that the girls could play a game, seeing that game finish with 3-0 loss but a massive thank you to Cadi, Daisy, Megan and Merle who stepped in to help Abergavenny without hesitation, you made Rhondda Ladies extremely proud #TeamPlayers. As always you saved the best to last and came away with a 1-0 win against Penarth A with a lovely goal from Connie. Thanks firstly to our totally committed Under 11's you make us totally proud each tournament but to Sue who not only umpired 3 of our games but stepped in to help Penarth and umpire for them against Brecon #RhonddaHappyToHelp. Also a massive thank you to Kay and Morgan who gave great coaching and support and also umpired last game. An incredible thank you to the U11's and parents who after 3 hours playing//supporting pitch side turned up to Tesco to help bag pack to raise money for junior kit it is extremely appreciated. I know some of the U11's wanted to help but had other sport commitments after hockey. Another successful Sunday for the Red Army. |
